Where to Put a Sigil
Updated
Once a sigil is charged, the traditional advice is to let it go — but many people prefer to keep it close. Where you put it depends on whether you want to forget it or see it every day.
To forget it
Burn it, bury it, fold it into a book you rarely open, or tear it up and recycle it. These suit people who follow Spare's 'forget it' approach.
To keep it close
Wallets and purses (common for money sigils), phone cases, journals, or a pocket stone. You carry it without staring at it.
At home
Above or beside the front door for protection, under a candle on a desk for focus, or under a pillow for dream work.
On screens
Phone lock screens and laptop wallpapers are popular because you see them often without reading them as words. Our free wallpaper tool can make one.
On the body
Drawn on skin with a body-safe pen, or as a tattoo for a lifelong intention. Choose a tattoo sigil only for an intention you'll still want in ten years.
