How to Make a Protection Sigil
Updated
A protection sigil is a symbol built from a written intention about protection. Here is the method, an example, and the traditional correspondences practitioners use to strengthen it.
1. Write the intention
Keep it present tense and positive. Example: "I am safe and shielded".
2. Reduce the letters
Remove vowels and repeated letters, then combine what remains into one shape. Our free generator does this for you automatically.
3. Add correspondences
Traditional protection symbolism: a closed circle, a pentagram or an equal-armed cross around the monogram. Colors: black, silver or deep blue. Planetary association: Saturn and Mars (boundaries and defense).
4. Charge and release
Many practitioners charge protection sigils during a waning moon, to banish what you want kept out. Focus on the symbol, then put it away and stop thinking about the words. Place it at doorways, on your phone lock screen, or inside a wallet.
