How to Make a Love Sigil
Updated
A love sigil is a symbol built from a written intention about love. Here is the method, an example, and the traditional correspondences practitioners use to strengthen it.
1. Write the intention
Keep it present tense and positive. Example: "I welcome a loving, honest relationship".
2. Reduce the letters
Remove vowels and repeated letters, then combine what remains into one shape. Our free generator does this for you automatically.
3. Add correspondences
Traditional love symbolism: soft curves, hearts, the Venus glyph (♀) and paired lines. Colors: pink, rose or green. Planetary association: Venus.
4. Charge and release
Many practitioners charge love sigils during a waxing moon on a Friday (Venus's day). Focus on the symbol, then put it away and stop thinking about the words. Self-love sigils work best when phrased about you, not a specific person — sigils aimed at controlling another person tend to backfire.
