Dream Meaning: Snakes
Updated
Dreams about snakes are commonly interpreted as transformation and healing, or a hidden threat, depending on how the dream felt. Dream symbols are personal — the emotion you felt in the dream matters more than the symbol itself.
Common interpretation
Most dream dictionaries and psychologists who work with dreams read snakes as transformation and healing, or a hidden threat, depending on how the dream felt. Recurring dreams tend to fade once the waking-life issue is addressed.
Ask yourself
What is changing, or who don't I trust? Write the answer down within a few minutes of waking — dream memory fades fast.
Track the pattern
Log the dream in a journal with the date and how you felt. Patterns across weeks say more than any single dream. Our free dream journal can interpret and store entries for you.
